My friend and I visited from the US and played Cruit Island on for the first time and absolutely fell in love with the place. Jenny behind the bar also made our experience exceptional with her genuine hospitality. Thank you so much and are grateful to have had this experience with you.

Cruit Island, pure joy. Golf on “The Wild Atlantic Way” that was every moment of magnificent vistas, wild, thrilling Irish winds, blind shots and downhill doglegs, chasms to cross and flags pinned to the boundary of land and sea. Every step a discovery, filled with anticipation. Cresting a mound, concealing the target, to find your ball safely nestled in the cradle of the green. It is safe to say that, “Golf is fun! Cruit Island is a view of the magnificence of untamed golf.”

Home on Isle of Wight after almost 4 weeks touring Ireland. 
The high point for me was my trip to Cruit Island Golf Club.
A great experience sadly not matched by the quality of my golf! 
Thank you so much to you and the staff for helping organise my wonderful visit and making it such a memorable occasion.

Just a quick word of sincere thanks on behalf of our foursome that visited on Monday July 17th. As much as I loved it before, it was even better with the improvements you made on #3, great additional tee box on #6 (the best par 3 in all of Ireland and Scotland!), etc. It was also in better condition than all the courses we played with the possible exception of the European Club. My three friends who were visiting for the first time were truly astounded by the jaw-dropping beauty of your club and couldn’t stop talking about it! Please pass on my thanks to the staff.

Cruit Island is truly my Irish happy place!

I just wanted to write a quick note to say thanks again from all the UCD lads and that we all had a fantastic first time in Cruit. The course is excellent and was really a treat to play. I have never played anything like the 6th before and it’s perhaps my favourite par 3 I’ve played to date! The food in the clubhouse was wonderful as well and hopefully we’ll be back soon.

Cruit Island Golf Club visit was the best. We drove down from Rosapenna, but worth every mile. Little bit of sunshine and a little blowy but thoroughly enjoyed it. Francie alone was worth the trip. Had a great pint. Thanks for the hospitality! Would like to come back.

Thanks for the support last Friday at Cruit Island Golf Club. It was really big fun for me, to play my “2nd challenge” over there. Although there were quite a lot of players ahead and behind me, it worked out fine for me as “advanced beginner”. I even had two pars on hole No. 3 and 4. But hole No. 6 is the greatest challenge. My good friend Brigid walked with me and took some nice photographs. I am very much looking forward to come back next spring. Take care and all the best.

I had the absolute pleasure of playing Cruit last Thursday. My husband and I were completely overwhelmed by the beautiful scenery and spectacular surroundings. The course was immaculate and the golf, good or bad, only played second fiddle to the whole experience. I would travel a thousand miles on foot just to witness those incredible views which are by far the most majestic and awe inspiring I have ever seen. From start to finish it was an incredible experience. The young girl that took our entry fee was friendly, polite, welcoming and informative. The course, as I’ve said above left me speechless ( which doesn’t happen very often believe me!)  when we finished our 18 holes, having experienced all weathers but thankfully mostly dry, we had a delicious culinary experience! The chef, a young, friendly dote of a girl cooked up a storm and left us wishing we were hungry enough to start all over again!!! Crab toes( we call them claws!), Killybegs mackerel, brill and garlic prawns, cooked to perfection and apple crumble just out of the oven…indescribable!!! Thank you seems inadequate but simply… thank you. We will endeavor to return as soon as possible. Keep up the good work.

Thanks very much for accommodating us so well at Cruit GC last week. The weather improved on the Thursday and was glorious for the Classic on the Friday.  It was lovely to see the course so busy and everyone was so friendly for the very well organized event. It was my guest’s first visit and rest assured they will be back next year. Many thanks again and I wish you all the best for the future.
